Photography has always been a love of mine for many years. During my undergraduate, I was given the opportunity to study it further as an art form. The work I was creating was more than just capturing a moment in time, but attempting to tell in a story in that photo. With the photo essays I did in college, I always worked to tell some story that would make us think as human beings. What I hope my photography does is challenge people to look at the world around us and re-evaluate why it is this way.
In my Introduction to Photography (DC 225) course, I learned a lot of valuable skills that helped me become a stronger and skilled photographer. I have worked with both Canon and Nikon cameras which helped me become more flexible with how I shoot my pictures. As well, I had access to Adobe Photoshop throughout which I was able to learn the necessary skills to edit and resize images for a variety of formats from print to web.
